Who are St. Mary's Alumnae?
Sister Shawn
Marie Barry said it best: St. Mary's Academy takes "ordinary girls and
turns them into extraordinary women." St. Mary's Academy has graduated
over 10,000 extraordinary young women in its distinguished history.
St. Mary's alumnae are making their mark on our world in the Peace
Corps in Turkmenistan, in the United States courts, on Wall Street in
New York City and around the world in a myriad of vocations.
Whether she is a doctor, a banker, a
mom or an educator right here at St. Mary's
teaching tomorrow's leaders, a St. Mary's alumna is a confident,
educated, well-rounded woman with values and a strong sense of self.
Stay Involved
There are so many ways you can stay involved.
Be a leader among alumnae and
join the Alumnae Council, gift the gift of time at the Auction or
SMA Academy Awards or be a mentor in our Alumna-Student Mentorship
Program. This program gives current students a chance to meet alums who
work in fields that
interest them including medicine, science, journalism, education and
many others.
Come back and visit us and let us
know what your life is like right now, what you're up to; come back and
sing with us, do service with us, play sports with us. Most
importantly, keep the spirit of St. Mary's alive in your hearts and
take pride in saying, "I am an alumna of St. Mary's Academy."
A Lifelong Network of Friendship and Support
The most important goal of the St. Mary's Alumnae Program is to maintain
a solid network of communication between alumnae and the school. We
also strive to build relationships among alumnae. Lifelong friendships
are formed inside the familiar brick walls of St. Mary's, and the
alumnae department works to ensure that friends never lose touch.
