Alumnae volunteers are needed at St. Mary's
Come experience the joy of sharing your time with St. Mary's Academy. Your efforts will enable St. Mary's to continue giving promising young women bright futures through education. We need volunteers with many different skills for a variety of different events and projects. Often times you don't even need a specific skill, just a willingness to help.

It is also extremely valuable for our current students to interact with you, our alumnae. It helps them feel the pride of being a part of a larger community. They begin to see their place in the rich history and legacy of St. Mary's.

St. Mary's has the need for volunteers on an ongoing basis for a variety of projects. If you have a willingness to volunteer for any of the following responsibilities please contact the Alumnae Office or call (503) 721-7751.

• Stuffing envelopes and preparing mailings
• Baking and cooking for events
• Making phone calls for the Alumnae Phonathon each fall and spring
• Helping St. Mary's find missing addresses and phone numbers of alumnae through phone and computer research
• Decorating for events

Join the SMA Alumnae Speakers' Bureau

St. Mary’s teachers sometimes appreciate the opportunity to enhance their curriculum by arranging for classroom speakers from the community.  Many St. Mary’s alumnae have expertise in their chosen field and are willing to share insight and experience by speaking to a class.  Interaction with alumnae is very enriching for current students, both because of the content of presentation and the relationship the alumna has with the school and its legacy.

If you are an alumna who has knowledge or expertise in a particular field or other unique experiences such as travel, scientific research, art, music, volunteer service, etc. that may be of interest to our students, we would like to add you to our Speakers’ Bureau list.  Teachers will draw upon this resource as the need arises for a classroom speaker/presenter.
